In Gouda en omgeving, maar mogelijk ook op andere productieplaatsen, werd het merk “Bloem” gebruikt als hielmerk. Dit merk is mogelijk een afgeleide van het vroege Roos-merk (Tudorroos), dat door de eerste Engelse pijpenmakers werd gebruikt. Qua datering vinden we deze pijpen terug in de periode van circa 1630 tot 1700. Helaas is de pijpenmaker of zijn de pijpenmakers achter dit merk onbekend.

In Gouda and its surrounding areas, and possibly also in other production centers, the “Bloem” mark was used as a heel mark. This mark may be derived from the early Rose mark (Tudor rose), which was used by the first English pipe makers. In terms of dating, these pipes can be placed roughly between 1630 and 1700. Unfortunately, the pipe maker or makers associated with this mark remain unknown.
