SCHOONHOVEN / IN.SCHOONHOVEN Pijpenmaker 1750-1800
In de tweede helft van de 18e eeuw werden in Schoonhoven pijpen gemaakt waarop de tekst van de productieplaats stond vermeld: SCHOONHOVEN en IN SCHOONHOVEN. Verder zijn ze niet gemerkt, waardoor de pijpenmaker(s) niet te achterhalen is (of zijn). In de versiering waren er nogal wat kleine verschillen: boven de knorren bevonden zich roosjes en roosjes met lelies. Ook bij de stelen zagen we verschillen, zoals onversierde of getorste stelen.

In the second half of the 18th century, pipes were produced in Schoonhoven bearing the name of the place of manufacture: SCHOONHOVEN and IN SCHOONHOVEN. Otherwise, they are unmarked, making it impossible to identify the pipe maker(s). There are several small differences in the decoration: above the heel, there are rosettes and rosettes with lilies. Differences can also be observed in the stems, such as plain or twisted examples.
